| Workplace First Aid Kits This link will take you the kits that meet the minimum requirements for your work place. All WorkSafe BC kits are available, as well as WCB kits for other provinces and the Yukon Territories.

We supply kits that meet current Federal regulations, Aviation regulations, British Columbia Department of Transportation regulations (ie for school buses).
We also have custom designed kits for grocery stores and restaurant kitchens.

There were changes to the OHS Regulations that took effect on January 1, 2009.

Part 1: Definitions The change in this section is:
- A new definition for "Professional Geoscientist" has been added.
Part 4: General Conditions The changes in this section are:
Section 4.1 Addition to the definition of qualified registered professional to include professional forester.
Section 4.1.1 Heading changed from Building, Structures and Equipment to Building, Structures, Equipment and Site Conditions. Also a wording change from Safe premises to Safe workplace and the definition of a safe premise has changed.
Section 4.1.2 Addition of a new section on avalance assessment. Please note this section does not take effect until September 1, 2009, to avoid introducing changes mid season.
Section 4.81 Changes to Environmental Tobacco Smoke on location of smoking area - this is to bring the regulations in line with the Provincial Goverment's Tobacco Control Act and Tobacco Control Regulations.
Section 4.82 Heading changed from Designated areas to Exceptions. This lists the exceptions to section 4.81.
Section 4.83 This section was deleted.
Part 5: Chemcial Agents and Biological Agents The changes in this section are
Section 5.1 Addition to ACGIH definition.

Section 4.48 Changes to Protective policy.
Part 14: Cranes and Hoists The change in this section is
Section 14.37.1 Wording change to Operator's duties - To restrict duties when a crane, hoist or boom is in use.
Part 17: Transportation of Workers The changes relate to getting the Occupational Health and Safety Regulation in line with the Motor Vehicle Act Regulations.
The changes include
-To whom this part of the regulation applies.
-Definitions of gross vehicle weight, highway, and work transportation vehicle.
- What are employers's responsibilty and operator's responsibilty.
- General operating requirements, gross vehicle weight rating, seat belts.
-The heading Crew Cars, Buses and Crummies has been changed to Worker Transportation Vehicles not Designed for Use on Highways.
-Changes to the wording in the Section 17.13 Seating capacity
Part 20: Construction, Excavation and Demolition The changes in this part are
- Additions to definitions for fill, qualified registered professional and stockpile.
- Additions of Sections 20.14.1 to 20.14.3 to Safety Work Areas and Safe Access. These sections are for safety around a fill and/or a stockpile.
Section 20.78 Work Standards for excavations - Additions to this section regarding unsupported structures.
Section 20.81 Sloping and shoring requirements- Additions to this section regarding unsupported structures.
Part 22: Underground Workings The change in this section is addition to 22.6 (h) of professional geoscientist.
